SURREY (VICE CAPTAIN)
Born and brought up in Ashford (Middlesex), now part of Surrey and has played for Ashford since the age of 11. Chris is the Club’s leading run scorer and he currently holds the record of over 19,400 Surrey Championship 1st XI runs but unlikely to reach 20,000! Has played for MCC, CCC and League representative sides but no County cricket until 50 years of age. Chris enjoys touring and has been on multiple tours with his Club and Surrey 50+ and 60+. The highlights of his career are: playing at Lords, scoring 92* at The Oval; captaining Ashford to 4th place in the Surrey Championship; winning the National Over 50s Championship in 2004 and being selected as England 60+ Vice-Captain. Awarded the B.E.M in 2015 for services to cricket. Chris is a qualified Level II coach and has coached Ashford juniors for nearly 30 years. A Project Manager with BAE System before retiring in 2015 to play more cricket.
