Clive Ricks


Clive started his career in Sussex playing for the Young Cricketers and Sussex 2nd XI. He took 9-55 in a League match aged 18 and after winning two UAU Championships at Durham University moved to Wiltshire where he captained South Wilts CC. He moved to Oxfordshire in 1983 and played in the Minor Counties side and the 50+ team which won the final at Lord’s in 2008. Clive was Chairman of the Cherwell Cricket League for six years and is now Chairman of England Seniors Cricket. He spent most of his career in teaching, being Head of two large secondary schools, before a spell as Chief Executive of Badminton England. Clive has his sixteenth birthday next year (having been born on 29th February!).
