Dave ‘Barty’ Bartholomew came to the UK from Trinidad in 1971 as an 18 year old to play rugby union at Coventry and he later moved to play league as a professional at Keighley. He also played amateur cricket during the summer months for a number of clubs in the Lancashire leagues. Has played competitive cricket in the Northern Premier League since 1984 scoring almost 10,000 runs and taking over 400 wickets at an average of under 18. He continues to play league cricket and also represents Lancashire at 50+ and 60+ levels.
