John Courtney

GLOUCESTERSHIRE

John and his wife Kath are seasoned tourists having been overseas with Rest of the World, West of England and Gloucestershire and guested for other counties but this is the first tour for England Seniors. John was born in 1956 and lives in Gloucestershire and has captained the county at Over 50s and was a reserve for England Over 50s recent World Cup. Other representative honours include Kent 2nds in the 70s when he opened the batting with New Zealander John Wright (who was carried off on a stretcher first ball!) and Western League side when his spin twin was Shane Warne. John’s debut for England Seniors was 2017 in England and has played every Ashes test since. Kath is the better all-rounder though, handy with both Chardonnay and Merlot.
