LANCASHIRE

Born in Oldham, Lancashire. Played through the Lancashire youth system rising to play in the 2nd XI. Played mainly in the Central Lancashire League but had 5 years over the border in the Bradford League. Played against most of the top international professionals in the 70s and 80s, the pick being Sir Garfield Sobers in 1975. Has scored over 20,000 league runs and taken over 1,000 league wickets. Currently plays for Crompton in the Lancashire League. Has played for Lancashire in both 50+ and 60+ cricket winning the 60+ championship in 2018. Retired from Financial Services and now works part time in the Oil Industry. Married to Marcia for 39 years and is extremely proud of his two children and six grandchildren.
