MARTIN IVILL

Martin Ivill

YORKSHIRE

Born in Barnsley in 1951 he is a right hand batsman who bowls medium pace. Started playing cricket with Wombwell Main CC at the age of 12 then moved to Barnsley CC in 1967. Played for 20 years, twelve as captain from 1975 (married Jill the same year). Trialled at county nets and played for the YL representative side. Moved to Sheffield Collegiate CC in 1987 who were very successful over the next 14 years including The National Club Champions in 2000. Now returned to Barnsley to play alongside son
Andrew. Yorkshire 50+ since 2002, champions in 2006, now enjoying the 60+ with the privilege of selection for England. Organised four tours for the Yorkshire Seniors to the West Indies since 2009. Currently Vice Chairman of Sheffield Casuals CC and Life Member at Barnsley CC. Once took 4 wickets in a single over v Harrogate 1999.
