Almost an April Fool, born on 2 April 1955 near Skegness. Began playing cricket for his home village before moving to Alford where he still plays today. Many successful years in the first XI as a top order left hand batsman in the Lincolnshire Premier League with several as Captain. Later became Chairman and Trustee of the club. Toured with England 60+ to the Caribbean and played in two inaugural test matches last year. Highlight being served drinks by Sir Garfield Sobers at the 3Ws ground. Played in the only test match victory against Australia in 2016 and scored 96 to take the MoM award. Enjoys golf, beer and singalong when not playing cricket. Claim to fame hitting Collis King for 6 over square leg in Barbados – but he was bowling off-spin!
