Captain of Wales Over 60s as an opening batsman and opening bowler, which has been quite demanding! Plays club cricket in Pembrokeshire for Cresselly Cricket Club, a premier club side winning many local honours and twice played in the semi-final of the National Village cup competition. Represented: Pembrokeshire County side on over 100 occasions, winning the Welsh counties cup twice; Welsh senior team between 1983 and 1987, opening batsman, with a best score of 70 against Zimbabwe who were beaten in a three day game! Wales Over 50s, captaining for 3 years. Currently highest run maker for that group with 80+ appearances. Latterly became a highly qualified coach, one of the first coaches in the UK attaining the Level 3 qualification in 2000, on the same course as Mike Gatting, Steve Rhodes, Phil Newport, David Hemp and Mike Hendrick! Coached a number of regional and national squads in Wales. In his younger days played rugby to county level with Pembrokeshire and golf to a handicap of 5 (not any more though!) Recently retired after 40 years in the oil business as a Control Systems Specialist.
